Q:When did you discover DeviantART and what made you start using it?
A:I had known about DeviantArt since probably during my senior year of high school (around 2000). I think. Or a little after. I kept finding awesome fanart through web searches and they seemed to be coming from the same place. ...Except I was reading the URL wrong. For awhile, I thought it said "DevianTart". I didn't join up right away. The interface was pretty archaic at the time and I didn't have a computer anyway. My first stint here didn't happen til around maybe 2004-2005. Took a little hiatus at some point and created this profile 2 years ago to get my head back in the art game. Now, I started using DeviantArt because I needed a place to share my work and get good feedback. I tried that at MySpace first and I just couldn't make it work. There was no real way to get a wide group of people to see your work unless you went and hu

Important Stuff from Previous Journals:
So I put up a poll about a contest. Of wether or not it should be to draw or to color something. ...well, the vote is split down the middle.

So we're gonna do both!!

Thats right. A two part contest.
The first part will be to draw a character. But which character? How about you get to draw one of your OCs! Pinup style. Linework only.
Two weeks should be more than enough time for that.

The second part, well, this is where it gets interesting. We'll have a contest to have the linework from the first contest colored! Another two weeks! The catch is that the winner from the first round can't enter this round. Or at least can't win it.

Because each part of the contest gets a prize.

So here's the details.
The first part of the contest starts NOW!
and will end midnight (PST) 5/28/13

The second part will start after a winner is chosen.

Prizes:
Each winner gets a free full colored commission for yours truly of a character of there choice. (Yes, I'm THAT broke)
