Black Cat by BillJersey Black Cat by BillJersey
Always did like Spidey's good friend Felicia Hardy. :)

Anyway, what started off as a piece that was supposed to be quick in easy turned out to be the biggest pain the ass for no reason. lol.
I figured since she required very few colors that it wouldn't take that long.
....I was wrong. :p
This damn piece took forever.

As usual, still learnin simple backgrounds.
I'm actually not at all happy with this background, but I already put too much time into this piece.

Thanks!
Though I have been dying to redo this piece for awhile now. Probably one of my more popular pieces and all I can see are the million mistakes. lol.

Thanks. :D
I'm still not totally happy with this piece. I think I learned a few more things since I did this piece. Might draw up an updated version one date.

For some reason, this is my most popular deviation, so I guess I did something right. :p

I definitely had fun coloring this piece, but I think I have a much better understanding of how to color now.

I still like this piece, but it still feels rough to me.

Do you use a tablet?

only for the coloring. The lineart I still do traditionally. You just can't get the same feel when drawing with a tablet. i don't know how some people do it.

I know exactly what you mean! I've tried it, I even bought a tablet and thought I'd practice, but it just doesn't feel natural for me.

I like that you do your lineart traditionally, I should like to try it for my own drawings. :)
